Gary McMahan Live in Elko, Nevada
Time and again after my shows, folks have asked me, "Do you have an album like your show tonight?" Up ’til now I've had to steer them to my live video, but I've recently found a bunch of recordings of shows I've done over the years in Elko, Nevada, at the National Cowboy Poetry Gathering. I picked some dandies and put ’em on this album. If you enjoy my shows, I'm certain you will enjoy this album.

Songs and poems on this album include some of Gary's most frequently-requested songs, and some never-before-recorded selections:
***Yodelin' Man ***Big Enough to Do the Job ***My Husband and I ***Gettin' in Nature's Way ***Pete 'n' Pat ***The Bullrider  ***Cutie Pie (the yodelin' dog!) ***The Ol' Double Diamond ***Grandpa's Early Mornin's ***Grizzly Bears ***The Yodel Poem

SADDLE ‘EM UP AND GO! is cd_sadlup.jpg (14700 bytes)perhaps Gary’s most popular album and features special guests Jerry Douglas, Sam Bush, Joey Miskulin and Riders In The Sky. this album is a result of ten years of cowboyin’ and writing and contains many of Gary’s most popular songs and some "barn burning" yodeling. This is classic Gary McMahan.

Includes: Socco’s Saturday Night *** Cowboy Honeymoon *** Montana Rodeo *** The Ol’ Double Diamond *** Pete ‘n ‘ Pat *** That’s How the Yodel Was Born *** Beer Can Bob *** Skeeter *** Angel *** Yodelin’ Man From Ol’ Montan *** Horses and Cattle

cd_py.jpg (13699 bytes)POEMS AND YODELS is a poignant, sometimes serious, mostly hilarious collection of poems and yodels. A treat to the ear and a bracer for the soul.

Includes: Gettin’ in Nature’s Way *** The Santa Fe Trail *** The Bra *** Minor Addiction *** Tomcats *** The Best cowboys Ain’t Always Human *** Grandpa’s Early Mornin’s *** Ken’s Horseshoein’ School of Hard Knocks *** Mans’ Best Friend *** A Cowboy’s Prayer

cd_cbday.jpg (4880 bytes)A COWBOYIN’ DAY is Gary’s "big cowboy sound" release. This album won the National Cowboy Hall of Fame’s Wrangler Award for the best cowboy song of 19992. Lots of songs, poems and yodeling on this one.

Includes: The First Cowboy Song *** Cowpoke *** Pappy’s Lament *** Mountain Flower *** The Blizzard *** This Old Hat *** The Two Things in Life *** Wimmen and Horses *** The Bullrider *** Cattle Call *** Wild Roses *** A Cowboyin’’ Day

cd_blue.jpg (7794 bytes)COLORADO BLUE is Gary’s first album. It was recorded in New York and Nashville in 1978 (seven years before the first cowboy poetry gathering). A variety of special guests contributed to this album: the string section of the New York Philharmonic with Harry Lookofsky conducting, Eric Weissberg on guitar and dobro, Buddy Emmons on steel guitar, and the Jordanaires (Elvis’ backup group) on backup vocals. The result is a big production of an ol’ cowboy. If you travel a lot, this is good travelin’ music. Songs are:

Includes: *** Dena Rose *** You *** The Winner of the Big Rodeo *** My Good Samaritan *** Colorado Blue J Ol’ Cowpoke *** What Does She See *** Daydream Cowboy *** Wondering Wandering Me *** The Buckskin Lady *** Real Live Buckaroo *** Cattle Call *** Yodel

book.jpg (12881 bytes)IN POETRY AND SONG is a must-have songbook, poetry collection, fireside/campfire companion, rainy-day saver....
Flavored further by delightful illustrations by Mike Scovel, Vel Miller and Bonnie Shields, this collection includes the sheet music and words to your favorite McMahan songs (including the yodeling!).

GARY MCMAHAN LIVE ON  VIDEO
This video captures Gary's performance at the Great Pikes Peak Cowboy Poetry Gathering in Colorado Springs. It's Gary at his best---just under an hour of yodeling, singing, and storytelling plus all the chatter and jokes in between that have made Gary one of America's most popular cowboy entertainers.
